Dances are an integral part of any culture.
And throughout all history of mankind performed by dance always there
was a competition element - the best pair, the best dancer. However the
first dancing competition known in Europe, there was a tournament on a
tango in Nice. It has been organised in 1907 by Kamilem де Rinalem and
then with success has repeated in Paris. This tournament has begun all
dancing industry in the world. The first World championship on ballroom
dances has passed in 1909 in Paris. Tournament was international, there
were no yet so-called "professionals", full freedom of creativity
reigned. Today ballroom dances enjoy wide popularity all over the world,
the sports program officially consists of two directions: Latin American
and European. Each of directions assumes execution of five basic dances.
For the Latin American program it: the Samba, the Point, Pasodobl, Cha-cha
and the Jive. A rhythm - here that the main thing in these dances. Passion,
love, enthusiasm … Five "classical" European dances: the Viennese
Waltz, the Slow Waltz, the Slow Foxtrot, the Quickstep and the Tango.
In the European dances the melody prevails over a rhythm.
